A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the very same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running some company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam emails, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy if you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your shared hosting account. You will see all the email addresses that you have created shown in alphabetical order and to the right of each one of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a certain mailbox receives all the emails for a certain domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.
