Dot NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can secure your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no special restrictions on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
