File Manager
Determine what a File Manager is and exactly how it is different from its desktop counterpart.
All web hosting accounts are handled from a Control Panel and no matter the type of the latter, there is always a File Manager tool, which enables you to look at the files that you've uploaded in the hosting account and to perform basic operations with them, for example moving, copying or deleting. Depending on the particular tool, there can be more complex functions also, including management of permissions and archives. Some Control Panels are simpler to use compared to others and so are their File Manager sections. As that is the primary tool you'll use to manage your files, it is important to check in advance what options it provides and if it will suit your needs, because a hard-to-use File Manager can be a burden and can make managing your online presence harder.

File Manager in Cloud Hosting
The feature-rich File Manager that comes with our
cloud hosting plans will make managing your content as easy as controlling files on your computer or laptop. You shall be able to drag-and-drop files and folders not just within the account, but also directly from your personal computer, so you will no longer require an FTP client to upload data. Furthermore, the folder structure shall be kept, so files from different folders shall not get mixed. You can also use right-click context menus and access different functions. You'll be able to set up and extract archives, to set up password-protected areas and much more. If you want to modify files, you can easily do that using a number of different editors - a plain text editor, a code editor and a WYSIWYG editor, so you can select the one which you need and feel most at ease working with.
